Tools for Quality Improvement: Testing and Implementing Change through Change Mapping and Mistake Proofing (Poke Yoke)
Quality improvement requires making process improvements, eliminating unnecessary steps, and streamlining work activities. There are many documented tools which can contribute to this process, however many are unknown, and most are underutilized. In this seminar Harjeet will provide insight into some of the most effective quality improvement tools which the OHQC has to offer.
Goals
- Develop the “Mistake proofing” process. A system designed to prevent errors or minimize their effect.
- Improve access to care for community members
- Improve efficiency through utilization of resources
