Profile:Robert Bailey is a lifelong resident of Amherstburg.

With a Bachelor of Public Administration Degree (Honours) from the University of Windsor, he had a 32 year career in purchasing in the educational sector, serving as a Senior Buyer and Manager of Purchasing and Supply for the Greater Essex County District School Board.

Having served for 9 years as a Municipal Councillor and 4 years as Deputy Mayor for the Town of Amherstburg and as a member of Essex County Council, Bob was a County representative to the Kid’s Campaign for Children’s Mental Health Issues, the Essex County Library Board, and Tourism Windsor-Essex Pelee Island Board of Directors.

Bob’s community service has included serving as a member of the Amherstburg Accessibility Advisory Committee for 6 years and for 3 ½ years as a member of the Accessibility Standards Advisory Council, which provides advice to the Minister of Community and Social Services on accessibility issues, and standards development.

Serving for 7 years with the Kidney Foundation of Canada at the local, provincial and national levels, Bob also served as District President, member and Branch President of the Greater Ontario Branch, and Branch representative to the National Board of Directors.
