Leland Martin was the principal in The Leland Group, a Consulting Agrologist firm. This followed his retirement from Dow Chemical Canada, Inc. as senior agricultural research scientist. His current community activities include participation with International Symphony Singers, and Lambton Elderly Outreach where he has volunteered for several years. He served for three years as a board member with the Lambton Hospitals Group and one year with the reorganized Bluewater Health Board. Martin was a member of the Agricultural Institute of Canada, Professional Agrologists of Ontario and the Canadian Consulting Agrologists Association. In February 2001, Martin received the OHA Certificate of Distinction in Effective Health Care Governance, and in November 2003, he received the OHA Level 1 Credential in Health Care Governance through the Health Care Trustee Institute
